Jet2 and Jet2 holidays have suspended all flights and holidays to Greece and Cyprus until next year due to the latest government travel advice.

It has cancelled its programme to Crete and Rhodes – the only Greek destinations it was still operating. The company made the announcement on its Twitter page, and explained that there are plans to bring back flights/holidays to Cyprus from the February 13th 2021, and flights/holidays to Crete and Rhodes from the March 30th 2021.

The operator will continue to service inbound flights up to  November 8th 2020 to bring customers already in Greece and Cyprus back home.

A spokesman said: “This is an incredibly fast-moving situation and we will provide an update regarding other destinations as soon as possible.”

Both companies have said that they will be refunding passengers automatically.

They have said that if you are due to travel up to and including Wednesday, November 4th, you can currently amend the dates of your booking free of charge. The company said that it will update customers if their flights or holidays are affected by any changes.

The government has introduced a ban on all overseas holidays from Thursday as part of the second lockdown in England, which is due to last at least until December 2nd. This includes travel to the few countries on the travel corridor list and travel across the borders of the devolved nations.

Tui is also cancelling holidays and flights while Ryanair is maintaining its flight schedule during the lockdown.
